About the Author, Sarky Eminian

West of Malatia is Sarky's first book. The book represents a personal achievement of a lifetime. It comes 53 years after he entered Western Reserve University to become a writer.

Instead he took a different road that led to a successful advertising career and raised a family. Inspired by his four close lifelong friends who began recalling experiences, he began writing the stories which are found in this collection. West of Malatia is a memoir and tribute to the parents and elders, those brave souls who endured the greatest crime against mankind and survived. It's also an illustration of how resilient cultures and people are as they adapt to survive, and go on to thrive.

Mr. Eminian was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1926 where he lives with his wife Joanne. His children visit often to share stories of their grandparents. Sarky is currently focusing on several writing projects.
